Sony MDP-550 Laser Disc Player: Put disc in player. Player shuts down after 8 seconds. Initially would have picture and sound for about 6 attempts at playing, but it kept shutting down. Then no picture or sound except the command prompts would appear on the TV i.e. OPEN, CLOSE, PLAY before it would shut down. Now it won\'t open tray to retrieve laser disc, but still comes on for about 8 seconds.
