99 Stereo, Is this a good replacement?

I want to replace my two 20 year old Rotel power amps which are bi-wired and bi-amped. I have the quad 99 pre-amp and I am considering replacing them with two Quad 99 stereo amps. I am considering the two 99 stereo amps over one 909 stereo amp or two 99 mono power amps because these two latter amps cannot be bi-wired or bi-amped.My speakers are Monitor Audio Silver RS8\'s. Is what I am considering a good move?
