Pioneer New Media Technologies web site (December 2003): Pioneer New Media Technologies, Inc. (PNT), is the result of the merger of Pioneer Communications of America, established in 1973, and Pioneer Laser Entertainment, founded in 1988. Created in April 1993, PNT was chartered to develop, market and support a combination of industrial and professional Pioneer products.
Headquartered in Long Beach, Calif., Pioneer New Media Technologies currently has approximately 125 employees in five divisions: Cable Television, Display, Entertainment, Optical and Video.
PNT is directed by Paul Dempsey, president and chief operations officer. As a member of Pioneer's senior management team, Dempsey previously served as the executive vice president of sales and marketing for the company's Optical Division. He has played an active role in the development of the company's overall marketing direction and worked closely on product development with PNTs Japanese parent company, Pioneer Electronics Corporation.
Dempsey has worked for PNT for more than 10 years and has an extensive background in the broadcast, cable and multimedia industries. Pioneer New Media Technologies is currently comprised of the following five divisions which are driving the development of leading technology for nearly every industry.
